Today on I4S we’ve got an opportunity to get your company involved with the making of a Channel 4 documentary. That’s right: one of your projects or a project that you’ve been involved with or a project that you’ve heard about or your neighbours from down the street could feature on television – arguably the most influential mass communication medium EVER until the internet was invented. In his Editor’s View, SMT boss Brian Sims takes a look back at the downfall of Met Police chief Sir Ian Blair – and he’s not overly impressed with the former commissioner. That’s my general feeling after reading the piece.

As mentioned yesterday, there’s also some information on the work of the Physical Security Interoperability Alliance. Is there a chance of the PSIA working with Sony, Bosch and Axis’s ONVIF group? We’ll be looking into that in coming weeks.

In the US, the Grammys are known as ‘the Security Excellence Awards of the music industry’. The reason is the Security Excellence Awards are better and more prestigious. This year they are handed out tomorrow night at the Park Lane Hilton, named after the famous Monopoly location. Results on I4S Friday! So look there then.
